International Student Orientation Winter 2021

Students starting their academic programs in the Winter 2021 term will be invited to participate in several online orientation events during the month of December (all times in Winnipeg local Central Standard Time):

December 15, 2020 at 7:00pm – Being Red River Ready!

Learn about the supports, services and resources provided by our Student Service Centre, Campus Store, Counselling and Accessibility Services, and Safety and Health Services teams. Plus, find out how to access these resources, and how they can help keep you on the road to success.

December 16, 2020 at 9:30 am – Red River Connect Orientation for International Students

This is your official welcome to Red River College! Connect with your College supports, resources, staff and colleagues, and learn strategies to help you succeed in your College Program!

December 17, 2020 at 9:00 am – Get Oriented! Technology Literacy

Learn how to access your online courses and resources. This orientation is led by Red River College’s Academic Success Centre and will cover the basics of College-approved applications, including LEARN, HUB, Webex, MS Teams, and Office 365. Participants will be introduced to the online tutorial available through the Library.

Students registered to start classes in January will receive an invitation to attend these events on Webex, as well as an invitation to access orientation materials through the College’s LEARN online platform.

In addition, students can check out Red River College’s Getting Ready for College web page, as well as the Centre for International Education and Global Partnership’s Student Support web page for resources to help them prepare for a great start to their College program.
