As a new Red River College student, you are joining a community of learning and working together. We can’t wait to get you connected to our community, supports, and opportunities to learn and contribute.
Red River Connect is a welcoming event is held for all international and immigrant students starting academic programs at Red River College. You will have the opportunity to network with students and staff and learn important information about succeeding at the college.
This year, we’re delivering all events and information online. You’ll still have opportunity to meet and interact with staff and students, and learn how to have a great start to your Red River College Program.
Attendance at Red River Connect is required for all international students starting academic programs at Red River College in the upcoming term. Immigrant students (permanent residents and naturalized Canadians) are strongly encouraged to attend.

Winter Term Students – Order your Books NOW!
Book lists are now available at the Campus Store.
In order to have your web order processed for the first week of January, you MUST have your web order placed by Wednesday, December 16.
With many programs starting in January, we want to process your order as quickly as possible as it takes time to process your order and for items to ship. This needs your immediate attention if you wish to have your order on time.
International Students, please expect your shipping to take up to four weeks.
The following sessions will be offered to support international students as they prepare to start their academic programs in the Winter 2021 term.
- November 17, 2020 Pre-arrival Webinar: Immigration, Travel, and Quarantine
This session will present important information for students traveling to Canada for the Winter 2021 term. Students will have opportunity to ask questions after the session.
- November 20, 2020 Pre-program Webinar: Settlement and College Expectations
This session will provide an overview of resource and tips for settling in Winnipeg and preparing for academic success in your program.
- December 15, 2020 Red River Ready
This online session will share general information about getting started at the College.
- December 16, 2020 Red River Connect
(Mandatory for all new international students in academic programs.) This session welcomes you to the college and shares important information about achieving your goals at Red River College.
- December 17, 2020 GO Session: Technology Literacy
Learn how to access your online courses and resources. This orientation is led by Red River College’s Academic Success Centre and will cover the basics of College-approved applications, including LEARN, HUB, Webex, Microsoft Teams, and Office 365. Participants will also be introduced to the online tutorial available through the Library.
