New PGWP-Eligible Programs for International Students
We are pleased to announce that additional PGWP-eligible programs have been added to our international student offerings at Red River College Polytechnic. A full list of currently available international programs can be found here:

These new programs provide pathway-focused, hands-on training designed to prepare students for direct entry into skilled trades and technical careers in Canada.
Newly Added Programs:
- Electrical Trades – 1-Year Certificate
Open for Fall 2027 applications
This program provides students with a Canadian perspective on the fundamental knowledge and skills required to be successful in the electrical trade. It focuses on foundational theory, safety, and practical skills essential for entry into the electrical industry.
- Refrigeration and Mechanical Trades – 1-Year Certificate
Open for Fall 2027 applications
This program provides a Canadian perspective on the knowledge and technical skills required to install and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in residential and commercial settings. Developed in consultation with industry experts, the program ensures students gain skills aligned with employer needs.
- Piping Trades – 1-Year Certificate
Open for Fall 2027 applications
This program provides foundational training in the installation and repair of piping systems in residential and commercial environments. It is designed in collaboration with industry partners to ensure students develop job-ready skills aligned with current workforce demands.
