Newly PGWP-Eligible Programs 

RRC Polytech continues to expand opportunities for international students. The following programs are now confirmed as PGWP-eligible for the 2026 intakes: 

  • Majors: 
  • Architectural Engineering Technology 
  • Environmental Engineering Technology 
  • Municipal Engineering Technology 
  • Structural Engineering Technology

  • Electronic Engineering Technology 
  • Students begin with the International Pathway to Nursing (8 months), which develops the academic and communication skills needed for Nursing, including Canadian medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, and medical foundations. 
  • The Pathway on its own is not PGWP-eligible. 
  • Successful graduates have a guaranteed seat in the Bachelor of Nursing (32 months), which is PGWP-eligible.

New Program Announcement: International Pathway to Nursing + Bachelor of Nursing 

We are pleased to announce that starting in July 2026 RRC Polytech will launch the International Pathway to Nursing, an 8-month preparatory program designed exclusively for international students, which leads directly into RRC Polytech’s highly competitive Bachelor of Nursing (BN) degree. 

International Pathway to Nursing 

  • Length: 8 months (2 terms) 
  • Location: Notre Dame Campus, Winnipeg 
  • Purpose: Prepares international students for entry into the Nursing degree by meeting English and academic requirements 

Admission Requirements 

  • Grade 12 
  • One credit in Grade 12 Math with a minimum of 70% or B grade 

Students in the International Pathway to Nursing will: 

  • Develop English and communication skills for healthcare 
  • Study Human Anatomy & Physiology, Medical Terminology, and Psychology 
  • Complete admission requirements for direct Nursing entry (including First Aid and Anatomy & Physiology) 

Guaranteed Progression
Students who successfully complete the International Pathway to Nursing will have a guaranteed seat in RRC Polytech’s Bachelor of Nursing program — providing a clear and supported pathway into one of Manitoba’s most in-demand professions. 

Outcome: Graduates receive a Statement of Achievement and transition directly into the Bachelor of Nursing program. 

Bachelor of Nursing (BN) 

  • Length: 32 months (equivalent of 4 academic years) 
  • Structure: Theory, clinical practice, and a 450-hour senior practicum 
  • Outcome: Graduates receive a Bachelor of Nursing degree and are eligible to write the NCLEX-RN® exam to become Registered Nurses in Manitoba 
  • Career Potential: Manitoba and Canada continue to see strong demand for nurses across hospitals, long-term care, and community health. Nurses benefit from excellent pay, benefits, and diverse career pathways 

Why this matters: This new pathway gives international students a direct, guaranteed route into Manitoba’s nursing profession — starting with foundational skills and moving into a high-demand healthcare career.

Commission Structure 

For this program, commission will be paid for 2 terms of the International Pathway to Nursing plus 2 terms of the Bachelor of Nursing. 

  • The Pathway portion will be paid at the same commission rate as the ESL program. 
  • Please check your agency agreement for details.
