Inclusion Week: Pow Wow Teaching with Ray “Coco” Stevenson

If you have ever been to a Pow Wow, then you know the steady drum beat and vocals that accompany the various dances: jingle, fancy, shawl, traditional, and grass dance. Students are invited to join Ray “Coco” Stevenson for a Pow Wow Teaching as part of RRC Polytech’s Inclusion Week. Coco will provide an opportunity for attendees to learn about the many types of Pow Wow songs for all occasions—from those sung to honour someone to those sung only in ceremony, like the Sundance.
