Study Permit Backlog

RRC Polytech is aware of current Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC)’s delays in processing study permit applications on a global scale because of a backlog of more than 140,000 applications and a crescent demand for new requests by over 30% compared to last year, which can make this another record-breaking year for international student numbers in Canada. We understand that these delays may impact overseas students’ ability to get their study permits on time for the fall intake across the country, and RRC Polytech is following the development of this situation closely with CICan (Colleges and Institutes Canada) and the federal government.
