Business Accountancy – Post Graduate Diploma

Business Accountancy post-graduate diploma is a 2-year, 5-semester program designed to help students prepare for the Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) Canada designation. The program was developed from the CPA competency map to fill the current and ongoing demand for accountants. Graduates can apply their post-graduate diploma credits for standing toward the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.

Business Accountancy post-graduate diploma will be offered through the School of Continuing Education. There will be a (4) four-month work-integrated or experiential learning component. The type of experience may vary among students, including co-operative education, internship, practicum, industry project depending on available industry opportunities. Students will gain a deeper understanding of accounting practices and principles, accounting management, taxation, communications, and business law relating to finances and accounting. Graduates will find employment in public or private practice accounting sectors.

Business Management – Post Graduate Diploma

Business Management post-graduate diploma is a 2-year, 4-semester program that provides a unique opportunity for professionals who want to advance their careers by developing leadership and management knowledge and skills. The program will prepare students with existing credentials (degree or diploma) to assume leadership and managerial roles in Canadian public or private enterprises. Students will develop skills and knowledge in management, accounting, marketing, leadership, business communications, and cross-cultural business practices.

Students will apply theory to real-world situations through business simulations, case studies and group projects, using industry-standard software in their courses. Combining core and elective courses and culminating with an intensive work experience will prepare students for progression into career opportunities requiring strong leadership and management skills.
