Communicating with your Instructor and Peers
There are a variety of ways for you to communicate with your instructor and peers in the online learning environment. LEARN includes a number of tools available for you to engage with your instructor and other students enrolled in the course on a regular basis, as well as ask specific course-related questions.
Communication Tools
News
Your instructor will post frequent news items to the course homepage. News items will help keep you on task and offer important announcements about the course.
Discussion boards
You are required to use discussion boards to communicate with your instructor and with students registered in the course on specific topical issues. You are also encouraged to post questions about the course content to the Course Content Questions discussion thread. Visit, review, and participate in online discussions regularly.
Use email to communicate with your course instructor and other students in the course. Send an email to your instructor or peers by selecting their name in the Classlist, available from the NavBar. Allow up to 48 hours for your instructor to respond to course-related inquiries.
