Interested in teaching the “FUN” subjects?

Did you ever admire those teachers in high school that got to teach the fun subjects that students look forward to? Did you ever think how cool would it be to teach woodworking, graphic design, multimedia, photography, drafting…? Do you have an interest in a particular trade but want to know about other ways to apply that learning by becoming a teacher? ***A bonus when considering these programs is that there are two $600 awards are available annually to students entering the Teacher Education program at Red River College (General RRC application required); preference will be given to those entering the five-year programs.  Applications should be accompanied by a current high school transcript including first-term grades.  Selection criteria will include academic achievement with secondary consideration to leadership qualities or peer support activities.  A reference letter from an educator supporting these traits should also be included.  Application deadline is June 15.
