If you are one of many high school students who are thinking about post-secondary school but are undecided about what you want to do when you get there or which school to attend for that matter, consider taking a campus tour. It is a great way to actively start learning about different schools by getting a sense of the types of programs they offer, available student support services (ie. Tutoring, counseling, employment services, etc.), and last but not least campus life!
If you are a high school student, booking a tour as early as grade 10 or 11 is not too early. The sooner you start to investigate, the sooner you will know what you want to do. This will help you in making course selections in grade 11 and 12 necessary to meet the entrance requirements for your program. The programs at Red River College accept students on a first qualified, first serve basis, so applying early is important.
Check with your guidance counselor to see if there will be a campus tour planned for your class in grade 11 or 12. That being said, we are happy to book campus tours on an individual basis as well. To book a campus tour at Red River College, go to www.rrc.ca/visitwithus. Click on book a campus tour and complete the online form with information about which campus and what you would like to see and we’ll customize the tour to suit your needs and interests. Family members or friends are welcome to join you on your tour.
