The Hidden Hero Award recognizes individual employees and teams who put Red River College core values into action to quietly contribute to success for the whole organization.
Nominees may be any full-time or part-time staff whom you see making a difference by demonstrating our values: learning, respect, inclusiveness, integrity, healthy environment, and community contribution. Find out more about RRC’s values to assist you with your nomination.
This award celebrates the behaviours, actions and attitudes demonstrated by employees over the past calendar year.

Nomination Deadline: Wednesday, Dec 20, 2017
Award Frequency: Once annually
Number of Awards: Up to four. From nominations received, the selection committee aims to select one individual recipient from a faculty group and one from a non-faculty group, as well as up to two team* award recipients. However, the BRAVO Selection Committee reserves the right to select recipients from any category for each of the four Hidden Hero awards.
*Note: A team is defined as a group of RRC employees who belong to the same or different units or departments and who are assigned to a specific project or function together for a period of time to accomplish shared goals. If in question as to whether a group is considered a team, please contact SARC prior to completing your application.
Who Can Nominate: All employees may submit nominations for their RRC peers. Nominees may be full or part-time staff, and they may be in any employee group (administrative support, service support, professional/technical, faculty/instructors, management, contract/adjunct).
Award Value: The recipient(s) selected by the Staff Awards and Recognition Committee will receive: an engraved award, a $75 RED Card, an invitation to a lunch/reception with an RRC leader, and acknowledgement in All Staff News and other media throughout the college community. Recipients will also become the ‘face’ of the promotions for the next year’s award nominations. In the case of large team recipient groups, award values may have to be adjusted, but all recipients will receive an invitation to the awards luncheon.
