The College has suspended all international and domestic business travel until further notice.
All international travellers are required to self-isolate for 14 days in accordance with the Quarantine Act.
The Province of Manitoba has amended public health orders to formally restrict interprovincial travel. As of Friday, Jan. 29, anyone entering Manitoba from anywhere in Canada will be required to self-isolate for 14 days. This includes those entering from northern and Western Canada, and from west of Terrace Bay in Ontario, which under previous health orders did not require self-isolation.
You can read more about these changes here.
If you are returning from travel, notify RRC Health Services at 204-632-2238. A nurse from the Health Centre will advise you on steps you need to take next, follow up to provide support as needed, and advise you on when you can return to campus.
If you are self-isolating and are able to work, the following options would apply:
- Work from home where appropriate. Working from home guidelines have been developed to support managers and employees.
- Use of vacation, Voluntary Reduced Work Week (VRWW), and/or overtime.
- Use of sick leave or other forms of approved leave.
A sick note is not required. Should you not have enough leave to cover the self-isolation period, it will be recorded as approved leave without pay.
