Meeting Rooms Mersive Wireless Presentation System General Instructions

Tips Before Starting

  1. If possible, turn on room lights and close any blinds behind speakers to ensure lighting is even.
  2. The camera is configured to focus on the speaker at preset points. If moving furniture, please let email AV Services know and they will re-configure the cameras. *C709 Only
  3. Close all unnecessary applications on your computer to free up computer resources and prevent unwanted notifications.
  4. Connect to the RRCWireless wireless network on your device.
  5. If you have difficulty connecting wirelessly, try the wired connection (see instructions below).
  6. For technical assistance, contact avservices@rrc.ca or fill out the Report Classroom AV Problem form.

Wireless Connection

  1. Turn on TV or projector if it is not already on.
  2. On your device, go to Mersive Solstice App Downloads to download the Solstice app and install it.
  3. Open the Solstice app on your device and enter the IP address (e.g. 128.200.206.37) displayed at the top right corner of the TV display into the Quick Connect textbox at the top of the Solstice app.
  1. You will be prompted to enter the 4-digit key displayed in the top left corner of the TV screen below the room number.
  1. Click connect. You are now connected to the meeting room and can share your desktop, a specific app, or a specific file to the TV.
  1. To enter Conference mode to use the room microphone, camera, and speakers, click Conference and then Join. By default, you will be sharing your desktop once you click join. Make sure you close all the open windows/unused applications before starting conference mode.
  1. Once connected, minimize the Solstice app window and open TEAMS or WebEx application to start/host your meeting.
  2. Configure device settings in WebEx/Teams:

Wired Connection

If you have difficulty connecting wirelessly, try the wired connection.

  1. Plug in the HDMI and USB cable to your laptop.
  2. Open TEAMS or WebEx application.
  3. Configure device settings:
