Employee engagement survey (complete)
We invited all College employees to complete an online survey that ran from Nov. 25 to Dec. 6, 2019. The survey was designed and delivered by a third-party vendor named Metrics@Work, and explored an employee’s feelings related to their job, department, the College as a whole and more. The survey was our first step in gathering the data we need to move forward and develop action plans together.
Employee focus groups (complete)
We’ll expand on our survey research and conduct focus groups with employees. These groups will discuss key topics that come through the survey results, and will allow us to explore and take a deeper dive into the issues that matter to you. An outside market research company will lead these sessions, and we look forward to giving you an opportunity to have meaningful conversations and come up with solutions together.
Analysis and results sharing (in progress)
We’ll compile results from both the survey and focus groups and share a College-wide summary with everyone. You’ll also receive individual reports for your specific areas/departments, and we’ll help you interpret the results so you know how to discuss them as teams.
Action planning and implementation (coming soon)
This is where the rubber hits the road. We’ll have lots of information to work with and are responsible for working as teams to develop action plans to best support each other – this means celebrating what you’re already doing well, brainstorming ways you can improve, and taking steps to make change happen. Accountability is a cornerstone of engagement and it’s up to each of us to help steer our course moving forward.
