CBC Manitoba Pathways

October 29, 2021

CBC Manitoba is launching a new project: CBC Manitoba Pathways.

This is a full-time, paid, five-month development opportunity for up to three Indigenous, Black or other people of colour candidates to learn the essential elements of working as a reporter in a CBC newsroom.

In this project, the successful candidates will:

  • Learn essential training to develop skills for working in a modern newsroom.
  • Work in journalism, from digital writing to radio and television broadcast.
  • Grow relationships with coaches, mentors and their fellow Pathways cohort.

As well as hands-on experience and coaching, Pathways will also offer a “journalism bootcamp” with instructors from across Canada.

The deadline to apply is Nov. 10, 2021.

The program runs from Dec 1., 2021, to April 30, 2022.
