Prairie Research Kitchen

Your Food Business Resource

Bringing food development expertise to the table

The Prairie Research Kitchen helps bring your food business ideas to life by combining food science and culinary arts to create product and process solutions. Our culinary research team is growing and one area of greater focus is working with Indigenous businesses and communities to offer guidance to take new products to market.

We are committed to supporting growth for Indigenous businesses and communities. By engaging Indigenous students in industry projects we provide valuable work learning experiences and the opportunity to learn new skills.

Food businesses provide an opportunity to come together and share food stories, to honour the history and relationship Indigenous communities have with food and the land, and to incorporate Indigenous knowledge and expertise into product development. We are here to walk alongside you, to listen to your vision and provide guidance with the expertise we have.
