Women and Weights
Are you a female that wants to start a fitness regime but don’t know where to start? Does the idea of learning a bunch of new equipment intimidate you? Are you already active but want to bring more focus into your workouts? You are not alone! Join in this 4 week program, Saturdays at 10am, to become more familiar with the gym setting. Together we will discuss training myths, where to start, benefits of exercise, and learn more about gym equipment. Bring an eagerness for a lifestyle change and lot’s of questions!
Week 1 – gym walkthrough learning about various equipment
Week 2 – weight and resistance training workout
Week 3 – learn about circuit training, HITT training and other workout styles
Week 4- learn how to build your own workout, fitness plan

Erica Wilken is a personal trainer and Kinesiologist, she has worked with people of all ages and abilities. She is passionate about continuing education and has attended many conferences and seminars allowing her to implement the newest researched-based programming. She has years of experience working in semi-private settings and loves the challenge that comes with programming for different abilities. Erica has also worked in a physiotherapy clinic helping the clients rehab their injuries. improve movement, and increase their strength.
She is passionate about helping people fall in love with fitness and find their own fitness passion.
