Rebels Weekend Wrap Oct 19th&20th

Men’s Soccer team entered the weekend being 2-0-6 and the Women’s team entered the weekend being 6-1-1 as they took on PUC Pilots on Saturday afternoon and BU Bobcats on Sunday at the John Scouras Field. Women’s Volleyball travelled to Iowa as part of their pre season games. Men’s Volleyball hosted Jamestown Jimmies at St Paul’s highschool as they get ready for the regular season starting on November 2nd. The basketball teams hosted CMU Blazers on Friday night as a part of their pre season here at the College.

Men’s Soccer team entered the weekend being 1-0-3 and the Women’s team entered the weekend being 4-1-0 as they travelled to Brandon on Saturday afternoon to take on the ACC Cougars and back in Winnipeg on Sunday to take on the USB Le Rouge at the Memorial Park. Women’s Volleyball had their second Pre-season tournament of the year at Providence University in Otterbourne MB, and the Men’s Volleyball team hosted their Annual Pre-season tournament this past weekend. Men’s Soccer team entered the weekend being 1-0-1 and the Women’s team entered the weekend being 1-1-0 as they went to Brandon to play the Bobcats on Saturday afternoon and back home on Sunday to host the Blazers at the John Scouras Field. Rebels announce 2019-20 MCAC volleyball schedule

The Red River Rebels along the Manitoba College Athletic Association announced the 2019 volleyball schedule today.

The Rebels open the season on the road November 2nd against USB Les Rouges followed November 8 against the CMU Blazers. It will be a quick turn around as they will host the CMU Blazers on November 9 in the home opener for the Rebels. Read More →

Rebels Women’s Volleyball Welcomes Another Recruit for 19/20 Season

RRC Atlethics is excited to announce that Darby Coughlin has joined the women’s volleyball program for the 2019-20 MCAC season. The 5’9″ right side from St.Mary’s Academy has enrolled in Diagnostic Medical Sonography for the upcoming school year.

The former University of Manitoba Bison player has won a high school provincial championship, 5 provincial club medals, 2 club national medals and was named Manitoba player of the year in 2014.

Coach Dan McGregor on the newest addition to the squad, ” I have had the pleasure of coaching Darby in 18U club where she was a key part to our provincial championship team that finished 5th at nationals. Darby is a hard worker with a positive attitude who has had success throughout her volleyball career.  She is a gifted offensive player that can impact a game with her ability to win points. We look forward to having her join our program for the 19/20 season.”

Rebels Women’s Volleyball Adds New Recruit

The Red River College Rebels women’s volleyball team is excited to announce that Jessica Kaminsky will be joining the squad for the 2019-20 season.The 5’7″ right side from Westwood Collegiate and Alliance Volleyball Club was a MHSAA conference all-star in volleyball and also two-sport athlete, quarterbacking the St.James Rods senior women’s football team.

Coach Dan McGregor on his newest recruit. ” We are excited to have Jessica join our program for the 19/20 season. Her experience playing club volleyball over the years and having played a variety of positions will allow her to have an immediate impact on our team in the coming year. Jessica has shown a desire to improve her game through practice and strength training that should pay dividends in the coming year.”

This will be Jessica’s first season of collegiate volleyball and she will be entering the Disability and Community Support program at the Notre Dame campus.
