Rebels Evan Husack not held back by disability

Evan Husack is one of the Rebels men’s volleyball team’s best players, always stretching, jumping, diving, and dipping to set or spike any ball sent into his area of the court, grinding away at every challenge.
Team sports are throwing constant challenges at the competitors, but Husack faces a unique obstacle as an athlete.
“My entire life I’ve been Deaf and faced barriers, however [I] have learned to work through those when they arise,” Husack said over email. Read More →
Rebels Weekend Wrap Nov 8th &9th

Both of the Basketball teams opened the season being defeated as they hosted PUC Pilots on Friday evening and on Saturday they travelled to Otterbourne, MB to take on the PUC Pilots as a part of their double header. Both of the Volleyball lost their season openers vs USB Le Rouge as they visited CMU to take on the Blazers Friday evening and were back home on Saturday to take on the Blazers!

Rebels Weekend Wrap Oct 19th&20th

Men’s Soccer team entered the weekend being 2-0-6 and the Women’s team entered the weekend being 6-1-1 as they took on PUC Pilots on Saturday afternoon and BU Bobcats on Sunday at the John Scouras Field. Women’s Volleyball travelled to Iowa as part of their pre season games. Men’s Volleyball hosted Jamestown Jimmies at St Paul’s highschool as they get ready for the regular season starting on November 2nd. The basketball teams hosted CMU Blazers on Friday night as a part of their pre season here at the College.

Men’s Soccer team entered the weekend being 1-0-3 and the Women’s team entered the weekend being 4-1-0 as they travelled to Brandon on Saturday afternoon to take on the ACC Cougars and back in Winnipeg on Sunday to take on the USB Le Rouge at the Memorial Park. Women’s Volleyball had their second Pre-season tournament of the year at Providence University in Otterbourne MB, and the Men’s Volleyball team hosted their Annual Pre-season tournament this past weekend. The Red River Rebels along the Manitoba College Athletic Association announced the 2019 volleyball schedule today.
