The Red River Rebels along the Manitoba College Athletic Association(MCAC) announced the 2019 soccer schedule today.
The Rebels open the season on Saturday September 14 as the host the ACC Cougars in a battle of the Colleges. They then head out to Otterbourne on September 19 as they take on the PUC Pilots.
The Rebels will host their first two home games at the Norm Konowalchuk Fields at the Notre Dame Campus but will then move off to the Ralph Cantafio Soccer Complex for their remaining three home games.
October 20th will be a special day for MCAC soccer fans as the Rebels will wrap the season on by hosting the BU Bobcats on Field 2 at while the CMU Blazers will be hosting the USB Les Rouges at the same time on Field 1.
The MCAC Championship will be held October 26 and 27 at Providence University College in Otterbourne with the top four women’s and men’s teams taking part.
The Rebels women’s team, lead by Coach Doug Lawrie (9th year) will start training July 24 while the men, lead by Coach Chuck Mrena (3rd year) take to the field starting August 19.
