2018 MCAC soccer season kicks off Sept. 8

The Manitoba Colleges Athletic Conference begins its 2018 season on the soccer pitch September 8 with both women’s and men’s soccer schedules being released today.
The season-opening matches will be on Saturday, September 8 between the Providence Pilots and the Brandon Bobcats. The women will kick off the 2018 season at 1:00 PM with the men following at 3:15 PM.
The only night games of 2018 will take place on the second day of the season as the Canadian Mennonite University Blazers will host the Université de Saint-Boniface Les Rouges under the lights at John Scouras Field. Besides these pair of games, all women’s soccer matches will be played at 1:00 PM with the men following at 3:15 PM throughout the 2018 season.
Women’s Final Rematch
The rematch of last season’s men’s final between champion Université de Saint-Boniface Les Rouges and the Providence Pilots will be played on Saturday, September 22 as Les Rouges host the Pilots at Memorial Park. After finishing the 2017 regular season tied at the top of the standings (both ending the season 8-1-1), Les Rouges pulled out a thrilling 1-0 win over the Pilots in the 2017 Championship.
This season’s Final Fours and Championship Finals will once again take place at the Winnipeg Soccer Complex on October 27-28.
