The RRC Rebels women’s basketball team advanced to the NIAC semi finals after defeating their Manitoba rivals PUC Pilots 61-52.
The 4th seeded Rebels were lead by guard Zera Panesa and her 13 points and 4 rebounds. Forward Tiara Cruz added 12 points of her own. The Rebels next face the number one seeded SWC Mustangs in the tournament semi-final, 6pm in at Candeska College in Fort Totten, ND. The Mustangs won their first round match up against Candeska 106-34. The game will be streamed Here
The MBB Rebels fell in their first round matchup to the CMU Blazers 73-72. This earned a degree of revenge for the Blazers, who lost to the Rebels in the MCAC Championship a weekend ago. This marks an end to the 2018 season for the men’s team. Both NIAC finals take place on Saturday, women’s game at 1pm, mens at 3pm.
