Emma played her youth soccer with South End United. At U14 she helped her squad win the MSA cup and represented Manitoba at the CSA Club Nationals.
As a youth player Emma was identified as a top provincial player and subsequently played on the Provincial team for four years, including competing in the Western Canada Games, (winning the Silver Medal), and Canada Summer Games.
She was also identified by National coaches and trained at the NTC for five years. Emma graduated from Glenlawn Collegiate in 2013. She was an Honour Roll student throughout high school.
Following high school Emma joined the UofM Bisons where she played for two years. In her first season she won the Rookie of the Year award. She was also a CIS Academic All-Canadian in both of her years with the Bisons. Emma currently plays senior soccer with the WSA North Stars in the WWSL Premier Division. In 2016 she was a major contributor to the North Stars’ League and MSA Cup Championships.
Emma plays on the defensive side of the ball and will find herself in the centre of the Rebels defensive structure this year. “We are very fortunate to have a player of Emma’s quality and experience join our team this year”, says Head Coach Doug Lawrie, “she will bring the tactical ability and leadership in the defensive third that all successful teams must have.”
After completing her Nursing pre-requisites at the UofM, Emma entered the Bachelor of Nursing degree program at RRC in 2015. She will be entering her third year of the Nursing program in 2017.
