In just his second season in the MCAC, forward Anderson Pereira has made a name for himself in the 2016 season.
As the captain of a young Red River team, the 5’8” Pereira has already buried five goals in four games to help give the Rebels a 3-1-0 record good for first place in the conference. Rebels Head Coach, Yiannis Tsalatsidis, is more than pleased with the timeliness of his forward’s production so far this season.

“Two of his goals were game winners. And one was a free kick late to tie it up, on the road in Brandon. His leadership as well as his gameplay have been top class”, says Tsalatsidis.

Originally from Santa Vitaria do Palmar, Brazil, the Business Information Technology student was also a key player in the Rebels’ run to last season’s futsal Championship Final.

The Rebels drew 2-2 with the Bobcats last Saturday, September 17th, and won’t see another game in the conference until October 1st when they matchup against CMU.
