Kristyna Fritzsche joins Rebels Women’s Soccer

 Red River College Women’s Soccer is pleased to announce the commitment of Kristyna Fritzsche for the 2016 MCAC season.  Kristyna played Premier youth soccer in WYSA with PTSC (1) and FCNW (4). As a youth player Kristyna also trained regularly with MSA provincial coaches. In youth soccer Kristyna was an MSA Cup Finalist and League Champion. Kristyna attended Garden City Collegiate where she also played on the varsity team. After youth Kristyna continued to play senior women’s soccer and co-ed at Premier and 1st Division levels. Kristyna plays Defence, but is versatile and comfortable at forward.  Kristyna is also an avid runner and has competed in several half-marathons over the last four years, most recently the Princess Half-Marathon at Disney World Florida. “Kristyna will bring tremendous experience and character to our program,” says Head Coach Doug Lawrie,  “I will look to her to draw on her experience to help lead the team to meet the challenges of a college season.”

After high school Kristyna attended the University of Manitoba where she completed a BA in History in 2012. Following university Kristyna taught English in Thailand for one year. Kristyna is currently enrolled in the Child and Youth Care diploma program at RRC and will be entering her second year.
