The Women’s Rebels Basketball team looked strong this weekend, winning a pair of games against MCAC opponents. At home on Friday, they beat the PUC Pilots 56-42. Raven Boulanger led all scorers with 18 points while forward Lindsay Young stuffed the stat sheet with 8 points, 14 rebounds and 2 assists. They then followed up with a dominant 56-23 win over the UW Wesmen Saturday night on the road. This time Lacey Finnbogosan led the team with 17 points and 7 rebounds. The Rebels improve to a 6-4 record and remain in second place. The men’s team did not fair as well this weekend, losing to the Pilots 82-73 on Friday and the Wesmen 68-57 on Saturday. Both teams travel on Friday February 5th to face the CMU Blazers, then return home on Saturday February 6th to host the USB Rouges, women’s game starting at 6:00pm.
Both Rebels volleyball teams struggled this weekend, losing all 4 games played. The men lost to CMU 3-1 (21-25, 25-21, 25-22, 25-17) and PUC 3-0 (25-17, 25-23, 25-17) with the women losing the Blazers 3-1 (21-25, 25-21, 25-22, 25-17) and the Pilots 3-1 (25-12, 25-16, 23-25, 25-10). Both teams host the ACC Cougars Friday February 5th, women’s game starting at 6:00pm.
