Red River College Women’s Soccer is pleased to announce the commitment of Andrea Alblas for the 2015 MCAC season.
Andrea has played soccer since she was 5 years old. She played youth soccer in the WSEU developmental system, and with Waverly and Fort Richmond CCs. She played age advanced for two years in youth. She also played Women’s senior soccer with Fresh FC as a youth guest player for two years, before joining the team as an 18 year old. Andrea plays midfield or forward.
Andrea is an all-round athlete having competed at six national championships in 5-Pin Bowling, winning three Gold and two Silver medals in team or individual events. As a result of this success Andrea was a winner of the Youth Challenge Bowling Scholarship.
“Andrea has achieved tremendous success as an athlete and knows what it takes to succeed as an individual and team player”, says Head Coach Doug Lawrie, “she is highly motivated to train and play college soccer and so will be an excellent addition to our team”.
Andrea graduated from Fort Richmond Collegiate in 2014 where she was an honour roll student, and has completed U1 at the University of Manitoba. Andrea will be entering the Applied Accounting program at Red River College.
