Rebels Women’s Soccer Add New Recruit for 2015 Season

Red River College Women’s Soccer is pleased to announce the commitment of Tenesha Lawson For the 2015 MCAC season. Tenesha played her youth soccer in WYSA with Park City CC where she helped her team win eight League and City Championships.  Tenesha attended Murdoch Mackay Collegiate where she was a multi-sport athlete.  She was the soccer MVP all four years, (JV and Varsity), and team Captain her last three.  She also won Athlete of the Year three times.  Tenesha graduated from high school in 2011 as an Honour Roll student, and received five scholarships towards her post-secondary education.  Tenesha then attended the University of Winnipeg for the first three years of the Joint Degree program in Creative Communications.  While at the UofW she played on the Wesmen MCAC Soccer team in 2012.  Tenesha currently plays senior soccer with Tri-S in the WWSL 2nd Division.  Tenesha plays Fullback.

“I’m very pleased to have a player of Tenesha’s leadership and athleticism join our team,” says Head Coach Doug Lawrie, “her character will only add to our strong team chemistry.”

Tenesha will be entering her final year in the RRC Creative Communications Joint Degree program, majoring in Media Production.
