Andrea graduated from the University of Manitoba Athletic Therapy program in 2012, with a Bachelor of Kinesiology. While in school, Andrea worked with the Bison Football team for two seasons, as well as Football Manitoba’s U16 teams, and various hockey teams in the Manitoba Women’s Junior Hockey league. Andrea is currently a Certified Athletic Therapist through the Canadian Athletic Therapists’ Association and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
Some highlights for Andrea include working with the Senior Women’s National Wheelchair Basketball team in preparation for the 2012 London Paralympics and with a wheelchair basketball team at the 2013 Youth Parapan American Games in Buenos Aires, Argentina; as well as working with Team Manitoba at the 2013 National Women’s U18 Hockey Championships in Calgary, Alberta.
Andrea strives to help people return to their activities feeling stronger than they were before injury. By using a combination of posture assessment, hands on therapy, and progressive stretching and exercise prescription, patients will be given the knowledge and understanding to take charge of their own recovery. Andrea has experience working with patients of all background and would like to help you achieve your goals of returning to work, sport, or play. Outside of work, Andrea enjoys staying active through bowling, curling, dragonboating, and kayaking.
