School Visits K-12

NOTE: The information about school visits on this page refers to the Applied Computer Education department’s programs: Introduction to Business Information Technology, Business Information Technology, Business Technology Management and Information Security.

We want to visit your school!

The Applied Computer Education department of Red River College would like to visit your school and inform your students about their future careers in information technology (IT), and discuss how our Introduction to Business Information Technology, Business Information Technology (BIT), Business Technology Management (BTM) and Information Security (INF) programs can help them pursue that career.

Presentations

An IT professional from our faculty will come to your school to deliver a presentation to all students interested in pursuing a career in technology.

The hour-long session would include information about:

  • Career paths in information technology
  • The BIT, BTM and INF programs and our co-op and industry project placements
  • Credit transfer opportunities
  • Graduate statistics and feedback

If there is some aspect of IT you wish us to discuss with your students, let us know.

We would greatly appreciate you passing this along to any instructor teaching a technology-related course.

Is Your School in a Rural Community?

No problem! We often travel throughout the province. If we can’t visit you in person, we can deliver the presentation remotely.
