The BTM TalentMash is an annual event which brings together students and industry professionals to discuss the ways in which Business Technology Management (BTM) grads will create bridges between the technology and business. Employers will learn more about Red River College’s Business Technology Management program and the skills that graduates bring to the workforce. Students gain a deeper understanding of the roles they might play in industry and the competencies that they will require.

Red River College hosts open house sessions throughout the year. Come see us at our booths located at the Notre Dame Campus and at our Technology Fair at the Roblin Centre Campus. Meet current and past students, hear about our programs and try out hands-on coding activities. Check out the RRC Open House and stay tuned for the next event.
Come see us at the Brandon Career Symposium, or the Rotary Career Symposium. We have booths at both of these events.
The Applied Computer Education (ACE) department offers two youth technology camps every year: the Girls Exploring IT Tech Camp for Junior High girls and the Day in the Life of an IT Student for all high school students. At both camps, students work through four different sessions to build a simple web-based application. Visit the Youth Camps page for more information.
Whenever possible, we participate in events that let us interact with members of the community and share how much fun information technology can be. Here are just some of the organizations and events the Applied Computer Education department have been able to work with:
DigiGirlz
Since 2015 we have participated in the Microsoft DigiGirlz event in Winnipeg. In various years we have participated in discussion panels and led sessions where young women can explore the IT industry.
CareerTrek
We have provided content and presenters to CareerTrek Day at Red River College where junior high students have the opportunity to explore several different careers in one day. We have also been presenters as part of CareerTrek’s M-Program.
Indspire
In 2018, the ACE department was involved in Indspire 2018 Soaring: Indigenous Youth Empowerment Gathering. It was a great event allowing indigenous youth to explore several careers in one day.
