Dental Coverage

As part of Red River College’s Flex Benefits Program, employees have coverage for a variety of Health benefits depending on the Flex Option you are enrolled in. The Flex Options provide varying degrees of coverage for Drugs, Health, Dental Vision and Health Care Spending Account. We would like to take this opportunity to highlight some of the Dental benefits you may have coverage for under the Flexible Benefits Program.

Dental coverage is available for employees in Flex Options 1, 2, 4 and 5 under the Flexible Benefits Program. Your coverage is based on your Flex Option Choice.

Reimbursement of Dental expenses is subject to maximum amounts applicable to each benefit and considers reasonable and customary charges.

Dental Fee Guide

The plan covers customary charges, meaning they must not exceed the Dental Fee Guide in effect in your province of residence on the date the treatment is rendered. Denturist fee Guides are applicable when the services are provided by a dental hygienist practicing independently.

The above is a summary of the provisions of the group plan. In the event of a discrepancy between this benefit and the master contract, the terms of the contract will apply.
