Adobe Creative Cloud Installation

Before you begin, essentials for Adobe installation:

  • To use your Red River College Adobe subscription you must use your college email address and password when signing into Adobe.
  • IMPORTANT: Your college email address looks like: username@academic.rrc.ca.
    Do not enter your college email address as: username@rrc.ca – you will not be able to log in.
  • You will need to have your personal laptop admin password to complete this installation.
NOTE:
  • You can install and use your Adobe subscription on one additional computer. If you try to use the subscription on more than two computers at a time you will be prompted to log out of your Adobe subscription on the other computers.
  • Ensure you install all of the Adobe applications listed in your software email that are required for your courses. Feel free to install any additional applications available within the Adobe Desktop App.
  • If you already have the Adobe Creative Cloud software on your laptop please proceed to:

Installing the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop App

  1. Go to: adobe.com and select: Continue to Canada.
  2. In the top right corner of the Adobe webpage, select: Sign In.
  3. At the Sign in page enter your college email address. Remember: your college email address is username@academic.rrc.ca and select: Continue.

  4. At the Select an account screen, choose: Company or School Account.

  5. On the Adobe webpage click on the blue icon in the top right corner (red circle in image below). Then click on Adobe Account (blue rectangle in image below).Adobe Account page
  6. Scroll down the page until you see the header Common tasks and select: View and download my apps.
  7. In the main body of the page, beneath Creative Cloud, select: Download, and: Save File, if prompted. If you see the message: Permission may be required, select: OK.Adobe Creative Cloud Download
  8. Initiating the Creative Cloud installer:
    • If you are running MacOS: Mojave, once the download is complete the installer will popup as seen in the image below, select: OK, and proceed to step 9.
    • If you are running MacOS: High Sierra, go to your Downloads folder and double-click: Creative_Cloud_Installer.dmg.Adobe Installer
  9. Double-click the Creative Cloud Installer to begin installation. When prompted select: Open on the following dialogue. You will be prompted to enter your laptop username and password.Adobe Installer
  10. Within the Creative Cloud Installer window select: Continue.Creative Cloud Installer
  11. On the following dialogue select: Start Installing.Adobe Start Install
  12. Once the installation of the Adobe Creative Cloud App is complete you can continue to install additional Adobe software programs via the Adobe Creative Cloud App.Creative Cloud Desktop App

If You Already Have the Adobe CC Desktop App Installed

There is no need to uninstall your Creative Cloud software, just log out of your personal Adobe account.

    1. Click on the user icon in the top right corner of the Creative Cloud Desktop App Click Sign Out.

    2. When the Sign Out popup appears select: Continue.
    3. At the Select an account screen, choose: Company or School Account.Select An Account
