COVID-19 Update: Manitoba Public Health elevates pandemic response for Winnipeg

September 25, 2020

Manitoba’s public health officials announced today that the province’s Pandemic Response System will be elevated to Restricted (orange) level effective Monday, September 28 for the Winnipeg region.

At this time, public health measures for post-secondary institutions remain unchanged, as our working and learning spaces do not constitute as public gatherings, and the measures we have in place meet or exceed all current public health orders. That means Red River College programs and services currently on campus will continue to be delivered on campus.

Red River College established very stringent health and safety measures on all its campuses earlier this year that anticipated stricter public health regulations, including the use of face masks while indoors, cleaning protocols, hygiene stations, physical distancing guidelines, and building capacity assessments. As we continue to live with COVID-19, please remember to stay home if you feel sick, wash or sanitize your hands frequently. If you’re coming to campus, follow our Return to Campus guidelines, and remember to wear a mask.
