Students can apply for the Canadian Emergency Student Benefit starting tomorrow

Students and recent graduates who face financial hardship due to COVID-19 will be able to apply for the CESB beginning Friday, May 15.

The CESB provides individuals with $1,250 a month, or $2,000 a month to those with a disability or acting as a caretaker, for the next four months.

The Government of Canada is encouraging students to create a Canada Revenue Agency online account and review benefit details — including eligibility requirements and procedures — immediately.
