BETAC’s services address the inherent challenges with designing and constructing a durable, energy efficient building envelope in Manitoba’s unique climate.
Centre for Aerospace Technology and Training
Centre for Aerospace Technology and Training (CATT) is a joint partnership between Red River College, Standard Aero, the Composite Innovation Centre and the federal and provincial governments. CATT represents a technological cooperative that’s second-to-none in Canada — and one of only three of its kind in all of North America.

The Centre for Applied Research in Sustainable Infrastructure (CARSI) is located at the Notre Dame Campus and is the first dedicated research lab at a college in Manitoba.
Electric Vehicle Technology & Education Centre
Electric Vehicle Technology & Education Centre (EVTEC) is located within ATEC. EVTEC works with industry partners to develop and support electric vehicle innovation among Manitoba’s transportation sector, enhance electric vehicle education, and to increase public awareness of electric vehicle technology.
MotiveLab™ is a living response to Manitoba’s heavy vehicle manufacturing sector, which expressed a desire for a combination All Weather Climatic Chamber and Chassis Dynamometer test facility that could cater to vehicles of all sizes spanning many different vehicle markets.
Paterson GlobalFoods Institute
Located in Winnipeg’s historic Exchange District, the Paterson GlobalFoods Institute (PGI) is home to RRC’s School of Hospitality & Culinary Arts. Students and chef instructors engage in applied research projects with the food industry to bring culinary creativity and skills to the various stages of food product development and commercialization.
