What is BIT?

BIT provides students with a highly developed skill set in Information Technology. The program provides a general understanding of creating software applications, building and upgrading websites and administering and supporting networks. Students receive training in Application Development, Database Management, Network Management, and Web Development.

Fast Facts

  • The Business Information Technology (BIT) programs successfully place over 50 students per year. Approximately 15% of these students are successful upon graduation in securing work with their co-op employer.
  • Many of the other students are high on the list of their co-op employers should a vacancy arise within the next year.
  • Manitoba Hydro hires on average 10 BIT students every year. Varian Medical Systems hires 3-5 students and many others hire two including Manitoba Public Insurance and Richardson International.
