Through the Hospitality and Tourism Management program, you will develop the fundamental management and customer service skills you need to start an exciting career in the hospitality and tourism industry.
In this program, you will build practical planning, preparation and management skills through classroom-based coursework and lab-based applied-learning experiences. You’ll also gain experience serving real guests alongside students and celebrated chefs at Jane’s, RRC Polytech’s fine-dining restaurant. As part of your RRC Polytech education, you’ll build practical experience, meet potential employers and expand your professional network through a co-op work experience with a local business partner.
As a Hospitality and Tourism Management student, you can choose to complete a one-year certificate or enhance your employment potential and explore advanced opportunities through a two-year diploma.
Certificate: After completing the first year of this program, you can choose to graduate with a Hospitality and Tourism Management certificate and start your career.
Diploma: Choose to continue your education with a second-year specialization in Hotel and Restaurant. After graduating, you can choose to start working in the hospitality industry, return to RRC Polytech to complete another specialization and earn a dual diploma or continue into university to earn a degree.

RRC Polytech’s Hospitality and Tourism specialization program focuses on enhancing your career potential and developing the in-depth knowledge and practical experience you need to succeed in a wide range of hospitality sectors.
Hotel and Restaurant Management
Create delicious drinks, mouth-watering meals and regal rooms by focusing on the food, beverage and accommodation sectors of hospitality. In this specialization, you’ll explore management, mixology, menu development and much more through applied learning, co-op work and collaborative case studies.
Experience a Polytechnic Education
Full-time Delivery: Something New Every Term
In this program, you will develop the practical experience, professional communication strategies and critical leadership skills you need to excel in the hospitality industry. You’ll prepare for this local and international success through immersive classes, labs and co-op work experiences.
TERM 1
Develop fundamental accounting, communications, customer service and restaurant service skills and explore the tourism industry.
TERM 2
Build on your foundational knowledge and explore hotel and event management.
TERM 3
Develop vital work experience through a co-op work placement with an industry partner. Graduate with a certificate or pursue a second-year diploma.
TERM 4
Dive into your second-year specialization program, focusing on Hotel and Restaurant Management.
TERM 5
Develop an advanced understanding of your specialization and build practical, industry-relevant skills.
TERM 6
